HashSets.com was created in November 2003 by Special Agent (Retired) David Black who spent countless hours performing computer forensic examinations on all forms of computer and network data throughout the latter part of his law enforcement career.
David's began computer forensics during the late 1990's while assigned as a Special Agent with the United States Army Computer Crime Unit located in Washington DC area. David obtained all his initial formal computer forensic, network forensic and computer crime investigation training through the US Department of Justice, US Treasury Department, Department of Defense and has since continued his professional training in the corporate space. David currently possesses professional certifications including Advanced Certified Computer Forensic Technician and Advanced Computer Crime Investigator.
This website was was created in an attempt to provide other Computer Forensic and Computer Security Professionals with additional MD5, SHA1, SHA256 and Fuzzy file hash values. During 2010, David added various web based Hash Search Engines were any professionals could perform fast research in discovering information on operating system files, malware files and most importantly known NSRL file hash values.
